  2. nall *913* Free Willzyx A “talking” whale inspires the fourth-graders to risk everything to return him to his family. With the police on their tails, the boys enlist the help of a foreign government and embark upon an adventure you’ll not soon forget. One in which the boys learn just how far you would go for a
    friend.

  3. corkboy88 Re: *913* Free Willzyx absolutely hilarious in this one are the mexicans. 'si, fly si' and MASA, their space project. loved the last shot too, when the whale is sprawled out on the moon. brilliant. reply
  4. Tom_SF Re: *913* Free Willzyx It WASN'T FUNNY! There was no sense ending it with the whale dead. What's funny about that? Use some imagination, dudes. reply

Well that part wasn't too terribly funny imo, but how can you not find the whole situation of the kids thinking the thing can talk, and trying to get it back to the moon funny? I find it interesting that the whole idea of the episode started with that image though.

    Is that true?

  7. BRMBug Re: *913* Free Willzyx Yeah, I think it was Trey that said as much in the commentary. I dont feel like pulling out my DVD to check it was him though. reply
  8. NeilsBohr Re: *913* Free Willzyx I also loved the shot of the whale on the moon at the end--one of my favorite episodes. If you're going to laugh as the rocket blasts off, confounding all the PETA-types, you have to accept the consequence... a dead whale. They don't let the viewer off the hook. reply
  9. pdfsmail Re: *913* Free Willzyx Ya the dead whale at the end was like a "Hey you did this in vain but you actually pulled it off " type of deal.

I really liked the composite sketch of the 4 boys, notice you can see their noses and kinda what they really would look like. Kuul

  10. codeguruj Re: *913* Free Willzyx Dumb episode. The original movie "Free Willy" was so dull and boring that I wanted to die. Why bother making an episode about it ? What's the point of the whale on the moon ? Episodes like this one are made when you start running out of ideas. reply

Ya i know it's there, just noting that was also one of my highlights of that episode. Thanx for letting me know though... Glad we have this excellent site loaded with sound clips, pictures and wall \papers to download... not to mention the episode viewer.

MASA who knew... i will have to remember them when i need to get rid of something/someone...

  14. 203177 Re: *913* Free Willzyx Dumb episode? This episode is one of my top favorites. I'm huge Orca fan too, it reminds of my trip to sea world. It was a sad ending though, I also loved Kyle in this episode too. reply
  15. DuncanHubbard Re: *913* Free Willzyx Just saw this episode for the first time, so damn good, the image at the end and the lack of music, just had me in stitches. And the guy from SeaWorld, holding his dying friend, "Okay, this time it wasn't funny, but it was funny every other time!" And then laughing when he saw the rocket dragging the whale up into space...

Anyone, AND I MEAN ANYONE, who finds the image of a dead whale on the surface of the moon, unimaginative, or pointless, deserves a slow and painful lunar death themselves!

This episode is pushing Scot Tennorman for title of my favourite episode ever.

    Also, What are tamales?

  17. Pip Tweek Re: *913* Free Willzyx The whale ending up dead on the surface of the moon reminds me of a passage in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," where a rocket turns into a whale (and a few petunias) and lands (dead) on the surface of a planet.

I wonder if Trey and Matt would acknowledge that book as an influence.

  21. Kenworth Skywalker Re: *913* Free Willzyx Go, willzyx, go, beached in the Sea of Tranquility. Sartre, no doubt, would appreciate the irony too reply
  22. dominusluna Re: *913* Free Willzyx Mainly this episode seeing the whale dead on the moon , made me think of most of the disasterous results of the well meaning but lacking common sense animal rights activists who try to achieve good mainly for political means and not the well being of the animals. Nieve children brianwashed by idiotic liberals with no real grasp on how to fix problems. It's not always good enough to say or act like you care. That whale permorming was putting a lot of food in his own belly and the tummys of lots of children of the employees that work in that water park. He had a job and didn't end up in a can of tuna. People need to remember that people come first. If someone wants to sacrifice people for the animals they should start with their own families and flesh and blood. It's not the RESULTS it's the INTENTIONS. But good intentions killed the whale .... reply
  23. sonuvabiskit Re: *913* Free Willzyx Great episode. It really made radical animal-rights people look like the morons that they are (and I am an avowed animal lover). I found the idea of a Mexican space program very funny.

btw, tamales are a Mexican food made of cornmeal (masa), wrapped in corn leaves and steamed. Contrary to popular belief, the singular of tamales is tamal, not tamale.
